Under the Trans Tasman agreement you can practice pharmacy in Australia with relative ease. Providing you are registered in New Zealand you can register under this agreement in Australia by completing an application with supporting document for review and approval of the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Where does NZPE come into it?
NZPE has been operating an overseas transfer scheme to Australia for many years. NZPE originally worked in partnership with Raven's Recruitment located on the Gold Coast, Raven's are a specialised Pharmacy Recruitment Agency who have been operating for over 30 years. Raven's acquired NZPE which allows us to ensure that Pharmacists are given the best possible employment conditions in New Zealand and Australia.
Raven's have numerous positions available to New Zealand candidates throughout Australia, many of whom are able to offer cross-training to get you up to speed quickly on site.
Am I eligible to work in Australia?
As a New Zealand Citizen you would automatically have the right to work in Australia and for non New Zealand Citizens please check with the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP).

You will need to complete 12 months study plus an additional 12 month pre-registration period to register with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS).
You will need to complete an equivalence exam, an approx. 12 month pre-registration period and then a registration exam to register with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
You will need to complete an exam and a minimum 12 month pre-registration period to register with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy.
Saudi Arabia: Allied Health professionals can expect to receive an offer of around 12,900-15,500 Saudi Riyals per month (up to $4,399NZD) tax free + accommodation, flights and six (6) weeks annual leave. You will need to apply for a Visa to be able to work there. Please check your Visa and Passport requirements via Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

United Arab Emirates: Salaries are dependent on years of post graduate experience. Income will be tax free + accommodation, flights and six (6) weeks annual leave. You will need to apply for a Visa to be able to work there. Citizens of the GCC nations of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia do not require a Visa to travel to the UAE. Please check your Visa and Passport requirements via General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs-Dubai.
